Today, I received my set of Akira Gashapon Capsule figures. I first saw these at No Brand Con thanks to Anime Castle. I was quite impressed with the detail and style of the figures, so I bought the whole set. The guy was selling the 3rd Series of these figures. Recently on ebay, I saw the 2nd Series for pretty cheap, so I picked 'em up.
These figures are so gorgeous ^_^. I'll show you what I mean. Here are the Series 2 figures, which i got today:
I love those last two figures, especially Tetsuo. It's one of the best scenes in the manga. I won't spoil the idea of the scene, though. Once i get the book back, I'll scan in the scene, and also try to find that Kei scene.

I didn't take any pictures of the Takeshi figure. I think it's kinda lame actually.
Something interesting you can do with the series 3 figures is fit together Kei (fighting), Tetsuo (fighting) and Kaneda w/ Laser to form a Tetsuo v. Kaneda scene which looks really nice.
These little figures are very cool ^_^. Amazing detail packed into such a tiny package. You don't really notice from the pictures, but none of these figures exceed 3 inches. I think that Tetsuo Chapter 3 figure is the longest.
I loved these figures from the start, but I only recently found out that Master Japanese Figure Company Kaiyodo is partially behind these beautiful figures. When it comes to anime figures, you cannot go wrong. Check them out at http://www.kaiyodo.co.jp/
Man, their figures are awesome. If they started doing Berserk figures... oh man, I'd be broke.
