After buying some necessasities, I journeyed to Club Inferno FINALLY to see what this club is all about after hearing about it last year. Inferno is located on the far east side of Madison, way the hell away from any distinguishing landmarks that would make it easy to find at night. After driving past the correct roads several times, I finally got there around 10pm.
Interestingly enough, taking a wrong turn through some community center brought me upon a RAVE. I was going around the parking lot when I noticed a bunch of crazy lights coming from the windows off to my right. I parked the car and walked closer to confirm my initial thoughts. It was a pretty high class rave, too. Everyone was in prom suitable attire. The layout of the interior looked very similiar to Chain Reaction II/IV, back in the day. My ears caught drift of some very poor house sounding music, so i darted back to my car to continue on to Inferno.
Club Inferno is damn schweet. Wow... It's much different than both The Quest and Visions. The Quest and Visions are actual night clubs where Inferno is a goth+fetish club. Also, Inferno is in an urban setting, so parking is free.
I finally got to hear the sounds of DJ Whiterabbit on his home turf and wow. He plays some very powerful music. Very german sounding hard house, or perhaps gothic house? It's an excellent sound. Maybe I should get into it. ^_^ Besides Whiterabbit, DJ Eurotic was tag teaming the action, and had no concept of beat matching. It was extremely annoying. On the plus side, though, his record selection was not terrible.
The night proved to be most enjoyable, especially watching the goth/fetish people go crazy on the floor. Man, they really get into the whole morbid style of dance. A few guys danced as if they were restrained in a straight jacket. Wicked. Were they dancing, or trying to break free? This other guy really had the look. He had a neck and wrist collars, and then just cutoff jean shorts with some pretty dark looking boots. He danced like he was in a fight to the death. Everyone danced very energic and mostly dressed in black, probably because they couldn't find anything darker to match their souls.
I took around 70 some pictures, but they were all taken sitting in the same spot, so I really only have about 2-4 pictures that should be put up. And now for sleep. My eyes are tired.
