Wisconsin Veterans Museum

Next to the state capitol in Madison, Wisconsin is a museum devoted to Wisconsin citizens were who veterans of American wars. There are life-size dioramas of each war with some artifacts and information about Wisconsin's involvement.

Even though I lived in downtown Madison for nearly 6 years, I never went in this museum. This was because I did not care about the American military nor their involvement in domestic and foreign wars. But, having visited the Badger Munitions Factory earlier that day, and also studying more about World War II from Japan's perspective, I wanted to get more insight into the American side.

There really wasn't a whole lot of new information here for me. There were some pictures of Japanese residents who were probably forced into the army. But, it was a small section of a much larger exhibit. I think the Vietnam war was the largest section.
