I am in Tokyo this weekend for an event. I recently bought some colored filters to use with the Gameboy Color. By taking 4 photos, one normal, one with the red filter, one with green, and blue, you can create a composite photo with full color.
Some photos turned out better than others. The Gameboy Camera is really sensitive to light, so it always tries to push the brightness creating very washed out photos. This is especially true with the blue filter, which is pretty dark compared to the others.
The Shrine of Meiji was near my event. It's a massive Shinto Shrine devoted to the late emperor Meiji.
Again, many photos are washed out, but I think you can still see the details. Plenty of people were walking around the area. As I took one photo with a colored filter, they would be somewhere else for a different color. This created some interesting red and blue ghosts.
My favorite classic landmark of Tokyo. The morning was overcast which allowed the Gameboy Camera to get a look more details. I think these color photos turned out amazing. :)
Once in the tower at the observation deck, they wouldn't allow any tripods, so I couldn't take colored photos. I had to settle for the standard Black and White.
