Hanami at Night

With the mild winter, the Sakura trees are in full bloom a few weeks early this year. The way to and from my Japanese lesson is paved with such beautiful trees. Some along the Enako river snaking through the Old Streets. Others perched on the top of Kitayama overlooking the whole town.

Even though it was raining, I walked around and took some photos of the beautiful trees at the night. I love the shock of white and pink cutting through the black and navy darkness.

Additionally, I went further downtown to the "red" bridge to see the Sakura trees there. It started raining a bit more but not that much.

The next night, this area will house the Takayama Festival. The Sakura will be perfect for the festival.
