Koya-san 高野山

South of Osaka, in northern Wakayama Prefecture, is Mount Koya, or Koya-san. Although the name of the area is given to the mountain, it is headquarters to the Koyasan Shingon sect of Japanese Buddhism. After traveling to the top of the mountain, there is the head temple and shrine, and also several other sacred buildings and a large cemetery.

This was my brother's and my plan for the trip today. Below are some of the photos I took.
