In June, Kitan Club released a series of figurines based on the Ludens mascot for Kojima Production. There are Deluxe Edition figures which have painted details released as blind boxes for 1650円. And, there are "Simple" ones, released as a Capsule figure for 500円 each. I found these while I was in Toyama to see Superman.
The capsule machine will mostly full, but there were a few people around getting their coins ready for a pull, including one guy who excitedly got all 3 different figures in only 3 pulls!
I turned the crank and got the Fruit Roll-Up color.
The 3 colors available were translucent black, translucent red, and glow-in-the-dark. I think I would've prefered the glow-in-the-dark version for the novelty, but fruit snack red was a close second. :)
Inside the capsule there was an advertisment showing the different colors and some very obtuse instructions on how to assemble the figure. It wasn't difficult to figure out.
Annoying that the flag is bent. The figure looks so chewable, but it's pretty solid and sturdy once put together. Not sturdy enough to withstand the Japanese summer heat sitting in a box somewhere for a few weeks, though.
I think it's fun for a 500円 pull, but certainly not worth the 1650円 for the Deluxe figures.
